The exhibition aims to showcasethe distinctive holdings of themuseum’s library, set up on 10 October 1918. The library currently owns some6,000 books and pamphlets, over 400manuscripts and a significant numberof 16th- and 17th-century volumes, aswell as an extensive collection of booksby Torquato Tasso dating from the1500s onwards. Over the years the library has beenenriched with mainly 18th- and19th-century books on the history ofthe Kingdom of Naples and the Two Sicilies.
